There is never a dull moment with Comdex and I hope to take you through some of the events that happened during the week that culminated in the Christmas celebrations. This dates from the 19th to the 25th of December, 2021. To continue, however, we need to take a look at what Comdex is and what they are trying to do. This would help everyone appreciate the activities and see how determined the team is, to take this project forward.

What is Comdex

Comdex is Persistence’s flagship dApp that is helping users democratize commodities through interchain synthetic assets. With synthetic assets, you’re looking at a group of assets that would have the same effect as the ownership of another asset. These assets could be currency, precious metals, stocks, bonds amongst other commodities. This means that synthetic assets get their value from these other assets. This is set to open up various opportunities outside what is normally experienced in the crypto space and decentralized finance, DeFi.

So much happened within the week and below, we’d take you through all of them.

Crypto Current Podcast

It started with a podcast on Crypto current that hosted Comdex CEO, Abhishek Singh. In this episode, Abhishek talked about how he got into crypto, what he feels synthetics would do and why we should ditch centralized solutions for decentralized solutions. A journey that started by onboarded 18 clients across Singapore, Malaysia, and Hong Kong who have now completed $160M worth of trades on the Comdex platform. Comdex Cadet Program

On the 21st of December, Comdex announced their ambassador program, termed the Comdex Cadets. It was a call to highly motivated and committed individuals who were interested in joining the Comdex Cadets ambassador program. If selected, you’d get the chance to increase your knowledge, form a network with other individuals of like minds while closely interacting with members of the Comdex core team, and getting compensated with $CMDX in the process. Interested applicants would have until the 31st of December, 2021 to register their applications and help push the narrative for Comdex. Apply here if you are interested.

Comdex Stats

Comdex went on to release their Network Statistics Update with some truly impressive feats. First they recorded that they had exceeded a total of 10,000 Wallet addresses with over 87,200 total transactions and over 7,500 IBC transactions completed. That’s really huge for a project that just launched. Showed how people wanted to get their hands on the $CMDX token. Comdex also talked about the incentivized pools on Osmosis Zone. The current pools are the CMDX/OSMO pool and the ATOM/CMDX pool with 145% and 99% APY respectively. Don’t miss out on this.

Santa Giveaway

On the 22nd of December, Comdex announced the Secret Santa Giveaway where users had to like, retweet and write in the comment section of the post, what excited them the most about Comdex for a chance to win the prize. 3 lucky winners were to win 50 $CMDX each. Also, Pratik Kumar, blockchain developer at Comdex, won the second prize in the Earth Tokens Challenge at HackATOM VI. Pratik and his team won $15k worth of ATOM by developing Boli Network, a platform where communities can build independent digital economies and tokenize local ecosystems. Details of this here.

Twitter Spaces

There was a Twitter spaces event the 23rd of December, 2021 at 15:30 UTC+1. It was hosted by Siddarth Patil and the Comdex team. There was so much to discuss about the prospects of Comdex.

Tech Summit

Abhishek Singh, Co-Founder and CEO of Comdex, will be speaking at Gulf Xellence’s Global Tech Innovation Summit 2022, Dubai’s flagship technology event between the 9th and 10th of March, 2022. Details of the event, here.
